Can you identify why the Hayden tensioner gives better results than the stock one. Seems like it should be up to the task and has lasted in mine since new. I do notice the clunk when shifting but never associated it with the tensioner.

I immediately noticed smoother shifts, much less vibration and neutral is super easy to find now. it's doing what it says it will for me. the "clunk" is 80% softer since I did the tensioner, its spring loaded so maintains correct tension on the chain. that could be it, I am more than surprised at the positive results I have got from these 2 changes. I was getting noise from the primary area and honestly thought it was the compensator. it was the the tensioner that was giving me trouble. when I removed the old one it wasn't too tight, the chain seemed too loose. I should have taken a measurement but didn't, but it was definitely too loose.

Clutch lever pull is back to about where it was originally.

I've been considering trying the Hayden, but haven't gotten around to that yet.

The clutchwiz looks pretty cool, if I didn't really have a problem with the new lever pull tension I would get one. 480lb spring is a lot, I think the screaming eagle one is 380lb. I would think you would need a clutchwiz for that amount of pressure. good going.....

Stay with the 380 LB spring.. If you add the wiz you'll have only about 15 lbs more pressure at the pressure plate.. The only thing the wiz does is correct for too heavy spring... You are better off going to an early pre 2005 clutch spring which is cheaper.
