You have to also carry the Michelin commander II's they have a cult following also. Myself included. Stick like glue to any road surface and last and last and last.

Big three will be Metzler 880/888, Michelin Commander II, and Dunlop American Elites. Stock those and your covered. As for best, like anything everybody has a different feel and desire. Some love a rock hard tire that lasts forever, some like sticky with more wear. FWIW i currently run Michelins and have no complaints yet.

Out of curiosity between those three Glide, how would you (or anybody) order them in terms of sticky vs long wear?

Never have tried the AE's. I have run Michelin Commander II's and Metzeler ME888"'s which are both high mileage tires as well. I like both very much but just put the 888 on last week. In MOST stock sizes these are available with the exception of it you have a CVO with an 18x5.5 rear wheel. Then again, AE's are not available in that size either.

My riding partner has a '10 Ultra Classic.
Still has the OEM tires on it and he's just about ready to (if he hasn't already)
hit 28,000 miles on the odometer!
