i put in a power commander V a few days ago. its a little slower to fire off than i think it should be and it has a little decel popping. are any of you pcV users having any issues like this and what did you do?
heres my bike info

Did you re-set the throttle position through the PCV?
Decel popping:
The image below is just for instruction. The first column represents the throttle in the Off position. The column left of that shows the RPM.
This example shows No fuel being added by the PCV in that range. So when you let off the throttle, (between shifts or slowing down) you get the popping.
The following is just a suggestion.
First, make a copy of the map you are using.
On the copy, go in to the "0" (ZERO) column and add Fuel in increments of five (5) from RPM 1000 to 4000.
The PCV will add 5% fuel in this range and in that throttle position.
Re-name and save the file. Load it in the bike and ride it.
Take note of what RPM the popping if any is there.
Repeat the process.
This will eliminate the Decel popping. I ended up with adding 10 (ten) in this range on my bike.
Good luck!

Hmmmm....never paid alot of attention to how it fires off....Unfortunately, you have just put this in my mind. LOL ....Having said that, I haven't noticed any isssue with it, but I do get a little decel pop sometimes because I tend to "blip the clutch in" and change gears without fully rolling off the throttle----I'm a quick shifter and tend to ride in higher rpm range and I love letting the engine slowing me down versus alot of braking. When I release the throttle fully, pull the clutch in, and shift...no decel pop.
I was told my quick shifting without closing the throttle was just leaving a bit of gas/fumes and it was burning off..thus the decel pop
At any rate---it doesn't bother me...my Deluxe did it for 7 years and I had no issues. I'm happy with PCV
