FLHRC Passenger Footboard Removal

FLHRC Passenger Footboard Removal
I removed my passenger footboards because I don't find them particularly attractive and I'm not planning on ever having a passenger. As a matter of fact, I'll soon be adding a solo seat. After review through hd forums, I filled the holes with 5/16" plugs found at Lowe's, which do a great job of filling. It still seems like something is missing in that space, though. Does someone know of some trim or something to cover the frame brackets? I could put the boards back on and cover/replace with something that looks nice, but really don't want to do that since they'll never be used. I also like the cleaner look of primary without the left side board.

Can you show a pic of the plugs and package they came in to fill the holes?

I have a '12 FLHR and ride solo 99.5% of the time. I struggled with that plugged hole look too. It looks like something is missing (I guess there is - the foot board :+). Anyway, I changed all my boards/pegs to the Streamliner theme. I have the Streamliner passenger pegs more for looks than function, although they certainly are functional.
Attached are a couple pics so you can get an idea of what they would look like on a Road King. I think they give the bike a more complete look without taking up much room.

any bright work would draw the eye to that area.
try not to sit in one place and stare at your bike- nobody else is.
unless you are building a show ( no go) bike, don't sweat the small stuff.
