Just bought an'07 FLHRC. Any advice?
I finallydecided to moved up from my '01 custom Sporty to an'07 FLHRC Classic. The wife said "go for it" so I did. It's a great looking bike, Fire Red pearl on Black pearl. Having a few things done to it. Including Chrome front forks and heated grips (It can get cold up here in New England). I can't wait. Picking it up this Sat.
Any advice, watch-outs, etc?
Thanks!

Jack,
Thanks for the heads up on mileage. I rented onein Orlando this past Jan. Relative to the Sporty (which I still Love, but have to part with now)it was the sweetest ride. Mileage wasn't the best but wouldn't trade in the "get up and go" of the RK for anything.

Top heavy, not hard to get used to but be aware. Twin disc in front as opposed to one. another issue. But the heat sheilds for your legs, the 96 puts off lots of heat. get a race tuner to give you some power. Stock they are running too lean.
ride it....

Congrats on the new bike. I've had my RKC about 2 months now, almost 1800 miles on it, weather up here in the great northwest is slowly improving. Break it in BY THE BOOK, BUY A SHOP MANUAL, have fun. P.S. I also traded my Sporty in for this, totally different animal, but you'll like it! Dave
