Probably the quick disconnect on the bottom of tank. They are noted for this problem. I assume too you have check for blown fuses.

I just had this happen to me today, '07 FLHT. Was accelerating up and getting ready to shift to third and the bike shut down, like the switch was turned off. Hotter than hell out and I wasn't going to mess with it in the sun along the road so got it towed home. (Got lucky on the tow as the driver knew me, $40! Thanks!!) Put my spark checker in line on each of the cylinders and it was showing spark, which surprised me. I remembered someone mentioning the check valve on here a while back so I pulled the connecter, wiped it a bit, plugged it back in and it fired right up.

Is it the actual check valve, on the fuel house, outside the tank, that I need to replace?

Did you try unplugging the fuel quick disconnect and re plugging. Also check that the fuel pump is running and there is no blown fuses. If you have a add on tuner like PCV or PCIII un plug it and see if it will run. They can do the same thing. Don't know about the fuel pack, but probably.

It was the quick disconnect that I unplugged, wiped a bit then plugged back in. Started right up then. Fuel pump runs just like normal. Had tried unplugging the FuelPak first, made no difference. When I found I had spark is when I went to the quick disconnect. My main question is what part do I replace, the part in the tank or the part on the external fuel hose, or both. I'm leaning toward both along with doing a new fuel filter if I have to pull the fuel pump out.

should have read your response better. Haven't done it but I think the o ring dries up and the quick connect won't hold enough tension on the connection to keep fuel flowing.

The crank position sensor initiates the ignition firing sequence by reading the notches on the fly wheel. I'd check the quick disconnect , somebody may have screwed with your bike, I know not another biker, ha!
