Half helmet with pull down sunshield

I have both the HD(HJC) and the Pit Boss. The shield on the HJC does clear the glasses easier. I'm using the Pit Boss now and have the skirting on to drop the speakers for the Sena Bluetooth headset in. I got the Pit Boss in white and it is not white. It's more silver, not happy with that. I'll probably get a HJC from the local metric shop in white.

My go to helmet is an HJC IS-2. That's what the H-D helmet is, but I won't pay twice as much to have the logo. I've put about 30,000 miles on it. To me it's not a sunshade, it's a rain shade. I only pull it down when it rains. It is great for that. Much better than trying to wipe off two separate glasses lenses.

I have the one made by HJC....they make the HD one also. I wore it on a trip to Canada and I'm glad I did because it rained on us in Toronto. It made it very easy to see and to keep riding. Also, the temp were lower than we had planned for, so the shield down made the mountains comfy. That brand of helmet is also bigger than most 1/2....meaning, it comes down further and covers more of my head. I probably will not wear it again unless I'm going on a trip where it may rain. I have other 1/2s that I wear without shield

Bell 3/4
I bought this Bell Mag 9 Sena helmet a couple of weeks ago and used it for a 500 mile each way long trip.
Rode with the clear shield up, most of the time, and the sun shade down. I wear glasses and like being able to leave them on as opposed to wearing a pair of prescription goggles. It did rain heavily on us for about 40 miles and there was no problem seeing thru the clear shield in the rain. The only 2 faults I found with this helmet were a few rain drops on the neck when it was pouring and it could use some more ventilation. It has vents but it being black, the isn't enough air flow to keep your head cool. I know this is a common problem in the summer heat with almost all helmets though.

I don't wear helmets that often, but I did find a shorty helmet with flip down shields (clear & smoke) that works well with wearing my glasses underneath, it's an AFX FX-200

I've been pretty happy with it. Usually only wear it when it's raining.

That is all I will use because of my glasses. I have a couple of them. My suggestion is to try a fitment. Some shields will hit your glass rim. One of mine does, I just push my glasses farther up until I get the shield down. Then there is plenty of room then.
My wife keeps buying these fancy mural helmets with no flip down shields and I won't wear them.
Hope this helps
