Stretched fender and bags with tour pak?
So last week after showing off my new air shocks to a friend I somehow managed not get my right side saddle bag securely reattached to my bike. So after heading down the road and hitting a dip my attention was drawn to the odd slap and sliding noise behind me, as I look back i cringed as I see my saddle bag following me down the street. Wooo hoooo
Well my options are repaint, replace, or redo. Being that a replacement is over 700 and a month out, I'm leaning towards redo, as in stretched bags and fender.
Thats where I have turned to the forums for help, I have searched through quite a few sites and forums trying to find a decent setup, i have found everything from a whole rear (both bags and a fender) for $520 to just bags with no lids for over $2000.
If there is anyone out there that knows of a well made rear fender that works with a stock tour pak, and also some stretched bags to match?
I'm planing on having the fender and bags painted to match the big blue pearl on the rest of the bike. Are there fenders and bags that are already prepped and primed, ready to go?
Bike is a 2013 Ultra limited FLHTK.

I can tell you from experience that you will be way better to fork out the extra on a quality set from a reputable dealer ...I mixed and matched stuff off ebay and figured I could save some money but in the end I had more money in them than I would of spent on a complete Baddad system and was never able to get them to work right....I had to drill the support bar under the bags to make them fit right...in the end they looked good but it was a very timely and expensive process...I had a buddy buy a complete system from baddad and helped him install it and there was a huge difference in quality and fit...just my 2 cents...

My painter loved my Bad Dad fender and bags....and from my experience, if a painter enjoyed painting it, then it's good quality. When I got it back, I put it together with no issues. 3 of us in my circle have Bad Dad and we all used the same painter and we all mounted ourselves.......no issues.

I mixed & matched, and it came out pretty nice, I think. Bags are 5" from Fairing Factory, and the fender is from Gator Boxes. It's just a fender cover. The stock fender's still on the bike. It was only $375 shipped. Both bags & fender cover had to be painted, but got 'em (unpainted) for less than a grand. The pic of the back has Vance & Hines High Output slip-ons on it. I've since changed to Rush Big Louie Slash-Ups to match the lines of the bags. Also put on the short Street Glide lightbar for tail lights & went LED.
