You paid $20000 for a brand new motorcycle and didn't notice the laced wheels? Spokes aren't even stock on RKs, so the dealer must have switched them out first.
Beary
I will admit that they are pretty but I don't like them. This Bike came from another Dealer and there were only two available. I noticed it while they were getting ready. I had to decide between spokes and ABS. Spokes won that battle for 250 miles.
I would talk to the dealer about a wheel swap. Hopefully they will work with you. You will need the 2014 wheels with ABS bearings. I doubt any indy shop has those laying around just yet. Possible I suppose.

Beary, not hardly.
The dealers are getting RK's in with alloy, or laced wheels (laced is the optional wheel) from the factory. It seems as though at my local dealer 2 out of every 3 RK's are coming in with laced wheels and whitewalls. Probably to make the guys that miss the RK Classic feel a bit better.

That and cruise control would do it for me if I were looking for a RK.

I've been riding for 35 yrs with laced wheels and never had problems so I really don't understand peoples negative about them.
I think laced wheels "Rock" but whatever your taste is--do it! I also love those "Gangsta White Walls" as I have them now on my Road King Classic with Laced wheels.
I have seen cool mags and I like the new SG wheels in all chrome
Interesting, I bought an 07 RKC and it came with the spokes. I was a novice HD buyer and did not know about the tube/tire relationship. I have since been schooled.
