Default New 2014 Road King

I just bought a new 2014 Road King. I was not paying attention and bought a bike with Spokes. I have had nothing but bad experiences over the years with Spokes, not to mention paying 30 extra for tubes. I found a shop that will trade me Mags for the spokes as well as put on new tires for just labor cost. This bike had Ganster White walls on it and I have no gold teeth. Bike has 250 miles on it. Anything I should watch for? I have not rode Harleys very long.

Love the Bike otherwise, especially since it does not have ABS brakes.

the question would be 'who makes the mags?' somebody trading you a set of dirt cheap chinese made mags for a set of real HD spoked wheels isn't really a good deal for you .

i do love the fact you bought the bike without realizing what kind of wheels it had , i try not to get that excited when buying stuff , but it happens anyway

If the 'mags' are Harley take-offs, I'd say go for it, but make sure the sizes and brake rotors/calipers are a match.

I initially wanted a bare bones RK but realized that the security and ABS gets me a discount on insurance, plus the better re-sale value swayed me to both. A smoking deal was the icing on the cake!

Take the Bike back to your Dealer and see what they will do on trading wheels for you.
My Dealer traded wheels straight across for me when I got my 07 Road King, see what
they will do.

These are Harley Mags. Seems that a lot of people are making Trikes and this is where they are getting the Wheels. Fronts are trade offs getting the 21" wheels.

Never had problems with spokes. If your sober when you ride and don't drive over curbs, spokes are just a good as mags that can crack.
With that, I should say nothing is immune to failing.

You paid $20000 for a brand new motorcycle and didn't notice the laced wheels? Spokes aren't even stock on RKs, so the dealer must have switched them out first.
