Default 14 Road King ????

Hey everyone
I'm going to test ride a left over rk later tonight. I have a couple questions. First I'm a 5"5" female I can flat foot when sitting on the bike but no extra leg left.

1-is there anybody that has a rk about my height? What did u do to lower the bike?
2-has anybody installed the 1" lowering kits that j&p sells that moves the shock backwards to drop height?
3-best lower profile solo seat? If I could find a seat with a narrower nose I think that would really help.

Any advise will be helpful. Cash is going to be tight for a bit so i need the cheapest options at first.

Thanks!

Check out Mustang Seats
if you can put the $ together, Progressive Suspension 944 shocks. Lower 1 inch (12" vs. 13") while maintaining the suspension travel of the 13" shock.

Fit either Street Glide shocks or have yours modified by Bitchin Baggers, both will achive the same thing, keep air shocks but mounted correctly!

My wife, 5'2", She had a Street Glide, same frame, and had the 12" air shocks and 1" Burley blocks on the rear suspension, lowering cartridge in the forks, and the Danny Grey Speed cradle.

Worked for her...

I would encourage you to check out Mean City Cycle seat modifications. Outstanding craftsmanship with excellent results at a reasonable price.

Take a look on the classifieds here cause guys replace their SG shocks all the time.

I have a friend on BON (Biker or Not) and she owns a 2013 CVO RK and she looks to be about the same height. Her name is Harley13. Good Luck. RK is a great bike.......I have many friends who own one.

Have you considered a Heritage Softail? Might want to ride both, back to back before deciding. It should be cheaper too.

This would be my suggestion as well. You give up the cruise control, but the balance and seat height are perfect for those who need to be closer to the ground.

I'm not a fan of the styling on the heritage. I HATE the studs on the seat and bags and it only comes with spokes. I want mags. I've test sat on both and it's a little shorter but I don't care for the look. If rk is too tall them that's my 2nd choice.
