Default Jingling noise driving me nuts....help?

I get a noise like stones hitting mudguard from the top end of my 09 EG classic. It's not pinking, codes show I'm actually running rich...I checked my heat shields, tightened exhaust bolts and checked every hanger I can think of. It happens when the throttle is rolled off, or when coasting, not when under power.

I stripped off the slip ons to check baffles were tight....Its driving me NUTS.

LOL! any suggestions welcome

with motor off, use a rubber mallet to bang on stuff.

sometime when a bolt backs out ( before it falls off) the washer will make a ringing sound.

just make sure all is tight...keep any coins under your gas fill cover? I've seen that.

Have you checked to see if the cam chain is loose? It could slapping against the primary housing.

Luckily I am going deaf, higher pitch noises get mauled by other sounds so I don't hear those kinds of things, just have to check the bike after rides for loose stuff. That horrid screeching noise on the back of the bike when the wife rides just disappears.

If your cam chain is hitting the primary, you got a lot more problems than a loose chain. Just sayin

I got the same sounds, like tiny pebbles hitting my front fender. Happened right at 5,000 miles on my '12 Limited. Thought it was bad gas. Several tanks later same issue. It usually occurred at 2,700rpm.
Went to dealer several times and was told it was normal- that it was the 'harmonics' of the valves/lifters. Sounded like an angry cicada in my motor, very annoying. Luckily I had added an amp and speakers to the bike so I was able to tune it out.
Btw- V&H power duals, heavy breather and SE super tuner did not help the issue.
