Smile 2007 Road King Classic Hydraulic Clutch

I purchased a 103A 2014 HD Engine, off a Street Glide for my 2007 Road King Classic. I was told on a different thread that I would need to install a hydraulic clutch. I am wondering what parts I need to make the transition. I looked at HD and Performance Machine. Is there a preference? Thanks for the help. I am really impressed by the level of knowledge out there.

It was mentioned that you "should" and that was just opinion. You don't have to.
If you are keeping your stock 6 speed, your cable operated clutch will do just fine.

Thanks. If I did what parts would I need? I've heard the hydraulic is decent upgrade. What are your thoughts on electronic throttles?

1.) yes no maybe- I'm ok with a clutch cable, I like the "feel". But i am also comfy with the older foot clutch.

2.) TBW cleans up the bars and frame neck....what it really does though is allows the ECM to introduce a "limp home mode" if problems are registered- rather than shut down the whole bike.
As far as normal operation I like it fine on my 09

My left hand grip is pretty strong

If you go with the throttle by wire you will at least need a new ECM ($300-ish), throttle by wire sensor ($80-ish), 08+ engine/wiring harness ($?), intake with servo motor ($250-ish?) and who knows what else.

Probably best to stay with your stock intake and cable throttle maybe? Really no benefit in going that direction.

Thanks, I think I will stay with cable throttle. No good reason to switch.
