I ran the Vance & Hines slip ons on my 13 for 3,500 miles no problems, I am now running them on my 14 have 1,600 miles on them with no problems. Roll with it you will be fine. You are still restricted by the stock headers so you really are not changing much. I would ask him how it will damage the engine? the dealer flash is a rip off, another way for them to make a penny. I would tell them your going to put a Power Vision on it from Fuel Moto then see what other crap they come up with to tell you.

They told me that the engine would run lean and burn valve/piston out, also that I'd experience reduced power and also over-run on deceleration with backfiring a possibility .... And your girlfriends clothes would fall off in the middle of the intersection if you revved it too high ??? .... Change the mufflers and enjoy the ride. If her clothes do fall off, of course we'll need pictures :>)

Dealer is kinda right. Stock Harleys are set up pretty lean from the factory, and putting better flowing pipes on should make it run even leaner. Stock air filter flows is good enough at lower throttle and RPM settings, so should not be an issue.
Might be a good idea to clip on a set of VIeds to add a little extra fuel in any case.
