Maybe I just misread it then. Or my memory is failing. Nah, couldn't be either one of those. Hahah

Ive done the 1000 in 24. Actual ride time was 17 hours

The 1500 in 24 hours. Actual ride time was 23:47 and the last hour was mostly triple digits

The one i have failed at X 2 is the 50 CC. Can't seem to pull off the 2400 or so miles from San Diego to Jacksonville in less than 50 hours.

Body can take it but bike does not seem to hold up for 50 straight hours on operation. May have to try it on a wing?

Did the same thing from the other direction on Friday the 15th.

Chesapeake VA to Marysville TN, then on to Robbinsville and Maggie Valley via the Dragon, then back to Chesapeake: 1093 miles in 19.5 hours.

Actually, I've heard of a guy who did a full iron butt ride on a wing ON the dragon for the whole 1000 mile run.

Only if you pay for it.

It's a racket that someone is getting rich off of. But yes, it's nice to be able to prove you did it.

Congrats on the Iron Butt it is no easy feat doing all the documentation and witness stuff.

Great pictures too, I love my sparks showing pic from killboy. I'm sure you are well aware of this but more for others who have never been to the Dragon, watch your lane control. I was in the middle/right side of my lane when coming around one of the blind corners and boom a car had 2 tires in my lane. When you are cranked over in a corner it can be quite the pucker moment.

Ride safe everyone!
