Put in the Baisley by pass spring while you have it apart, quiets things down. I have it in mine and it definitely helped.

The adjustable rods will help....my bike has been so quiet since I installed them with my cam swap about 35000 miles ago,,, will hit 87000 miles this weekend. I was riding hone from work yesterday and was thinking how quiet and smooth my motor was sounding...

yep. New bearings should be in the kit and I plan to install them as well.

You got me. Compensator. Feel better?

I blame either spell check or the G&T. Or both.

Bearings for sure. Oil pressure is fine for this bike. I did pull it apart and it passes the specs in the manual easily. Plus almost $170 for a new pump is a little rich for me at the moment.

If I ever do anymore upgrades to the motor, I might go with the SE pump and backing plate, but at nearly $400 for that, I can wait.

I get a similar noise till full warm up then it stops until I stop long enough for a partial cool down then it does it again till full warm again. The other day it didn't do it at all for the entire ride which was strange. I've got 18k on the motor with comp cams lifters and HD adjustable rods. Most noises will introduce themselves after 5k on the motor from my experience. I'm running dino oil in my wifes new FXDC and will keep it that way to see if her 96" gets noisy after 5k. That's the only diff with my 96", I put synth in it after 7-800 miles. If her's stays quiet, I'm going to suspect the oil but I don't want to turn this into an oil thread! Oh, oil pressure runs 40+ till it gets real hot with 50w VR1 dino.

Back together she is. Bad front intake lifter was the marble sound. Fuel Moto did great getting me the cam, lifters and adjustable pushrods overnight. Wimped out at the last minute and put in the SE cam plate and oil pump. Spendy but figured while I was in there.

Goes like mad on the initial PV tune from FM. Top end is nice and quiet as well as the cam chest. I did see that the written instructions for the adjustable pushrods said 4 turns, but in the video the fellow mentions 4 turns and 2 sides. To be safe I went just the 4 turns and seems to be quiet enough. I might double check with FM on the discrepancy.

Thanks all for the advice.
