Converting an 05 FLHTCUI... Lots of questions on changes needed.
My first reliable bike is an 05 ElectraGlide Classic. Bought it right 3 years ago at 5400 miles. I rode a friends 06 StreetGlide the other day with the idea of feeling the difference. His bike is lower than mine and I loved how it handled on the road. Granted he has a sundowner seat and I have a reduced reach seat. As my bike is, I need handlebars that are an inch or two higher and closer to my seat position. I haven't a clue about handlbars.
To lower the bike I'm looking at PN's 54598-02 for the front and 54631-02B for the rear.
To get the detachable tour-pak I think I need PN's 53303-07 and 70113-08.
I'm attempting to get this done in the next few weeks for some seat time before we ride @500 miles to Deals Gap in October. Am I on the right track for parts? Is there anything available aftermarket that is just as good or better? At some point I plan on converting to the wider rear fender/tire that came out on later Harleys.
Thanks,
Dub jr.
BTW, I do ride out of state several time a year so comfort is important.

The Wild One bars look to be just what I need. Do you have a part number for the 12 inch Street Glide shocks or are you affirming my first post?
