I live here in NC not too far from where Don lost his life. I have been on that section of the Blue Ridge Parkway many times. There are two curves that come up on you quickly. I don't know what happened but the loss of Don is a big loss to the motorcycle world. What a great guy. I bought my FLHTK from Don last August in Statesville and he had first class dealerships. Remember his wife Robinette as she is in Mission Hospital in Asheville and his family in prayer please. Let us all remember that each day is a gift from above. Ride safe and enjoy the ride.

If I am not mistaken, I met Mr. Tilley 20 years ago at Bike Week in Daytona. What a warm and genuine man..my prayers for his wife and her healing, and for his Eternal soul.

I've ridden with Don, Click Baldwin and Kyle Petty three times on Victory Junction Camp rides. A great bunch of guys for sure. RIP brother.

I believe there is a commemorative ride coming up next week starting in Salisbury NC to Statesville NC in honor of Mr Tilley. Good way to show support for the family.

I'll be there. I gotta say, I'm seriously freaked out about this. I never feared wrecking but since I heard about him, I can't stop thinking about it. I've been to his shop a few times and I've been to the location where he died. I'm thinking if it happened to a veteran like him...

I met him a little more than a decade ago when I got my endorsement. I started hanging at his shop and fantasizing about owning a Harley. I told him that I want to have one before turning 40.

I even went to his shop with my mother. He teased her about riding on the back of a bike and letting her hair blow in the wind. She heard about it last night and called me up.

I'm just shocked that this happened. But I will be at the ride.

Going to try to make this run...

Bought my first harley from the Salisbury site in 09. All my business goes there. Great place, great people, they made me feel like family since day one.

Sounds like a heck of a good guy. RIP Don and thoughts and prayers for Mrs. Tilley

RIP Don, it won't be the same going into Tilley's HD in Statesville and not seeing him there. Prayers sent for his wife and family.
