Personally I like the S&S header best.
Looks like two separate pipes and easy to dyno tune according to the guy that setup the bike.

As far as I know with true duals compared to an X-pipe you will lose some backpressure and therefore some lower end torque. True duals and more open mufflers than stock even more low end torque. Add a more open intake and you will have to tune.

The power duals will match very nicely with the monster ovals and then you could do the FP3 to tune it!
i've not seen any aftermarket pipes utilizing the 12mm o2 sensors that have changed the location of the bungs. and if they did, the wiring on the stock sensors would not reach.

now, i have seen where an aftermarket pipe has 2 sets of bungs welded in, the 12mm in the stock location, and the 18mm near the exhaust flanges.

The difference is that with the 2-1-2 pipe the exhaust pulses from one cylinder mix with the pulses from the other cylinder, which helps pull the exhaust gasses out from the engine, reducing reversion, and thus reducing engine pumping loss..net result, more power at the rear wheel.

I would go that route or what I did. I'm using S&s poewer tune duals with the FP3 and V&H twin round slash muffs Awesome setup.

Several experienced members in here will say that the V&H products are designed for looks and not performance and do not follow industry guidelines for O2 sensor placement or depth. I won't use one next time.

The Jackpot 2-1-2 head pipe from Fuel Moto is the best in the business as far as performance and customer support. Looks and sound are subjective and are really up to you.

I have had V&H, Rinehart and Jackpot head pipes and the Jackpot 2-1-2 perform the best of anything I've owned.

Good luck.

Check out our system with a stepped header design. The whole system retails for $699. Check out YouTube to compare against two into one systems. Mgscustombikes.com
