Default V&H 450s

So, are these "louder" than the HOs? And, any noise issues re long (all day) rides with the 450sS

I found a video of them on youtube yesterday. They seem to have a really deep tone. Of course it is a video so you cannot really tell how good they sound but have a look.

I'm sure the 2.5" baffles will kill your low end torque - the 2.25's in my V&H turn downs certainly did. But if sounding good is more important than running good, go for it! I added Big City Thunder QQ baffles in the pipe ahead of the mufflers; got my torque back and quieted it down too.

Wtf is up with those ugly mounting brackets on the inside facing the wheels and the pipes moving around so much?

I assume they're side mounted for clearance?? They sure do wiggle around allot.

Softails, Indians, & Metrics muffler mounts are on the inside, maybe they didn't want to make a separate model with the HD touring mounts?

I'll bet it has to do with the OD of them as they are super fat all the way around. Or maybe they have been designed to eliminate squeaking exhaust mounts?

Big diameter mufflers with standard mounting brackets can sometimes angle down toward the rear. using the side brackets allows the muffler to tuck up under the bag a little closer. with Extended bags, they fit nicely.... from what I've seen.

Default Monster Rounds or Oversized 450 Slip-Ons?

Look of both very similar. Want something louder than stock but not so loud that we can't enjoy the stereo. Sounds like the Slip-Ons might be just a bit louder? Anyone have an opinion on either of these or which would be the better fit for me based off what I said?
