Would you happen to know the difference between the 98518-09VM that you posted and the 98518-05VM?

 

I believe the last numbers designate year the HD part was introduced, not necessarily when it was made, but when it came out.

So the general assumption would be that the 09 version is better than 05 as it has 4 years of new "engineering"....

If anyone has a direct comparison/difference between these two jackets, I'd love to see it.

 

Boy, they look identical with the exception of the embossed lettering on the back; the 05 just has a small FXRG Oval below the back collar, whereas the 09 has the larger FXRG Lettering and Harley Davidson below the Reflective piping.

Both have the insulated liner, not the nylon windbreaker.
