I have an extra Iron Aces mount for 08-13Batwing fairing electronics mount. This mount has mounting holes for all types of electronic adapter mounting brackets. Cell Phones, GPS, XM Radio just to name a few. The bracket is very heavy machined metal. Comes with instructions and bracket with mounting tape. This mount came with a Garmin 665 I purchased. Does the bracket just get tapped to the fairing?

 

It will work with tape and the previous owner used it with tape only. There are threaded screw holes on the reverse side so you can anchor it with screws. It appears to me tape would work well if you were using it for a GPS, Cell Phone or XM radio. Tape wouldn't work for an iPad or larger items.
