The windshield is 9" tall vertically, but because of the shape is 12" from base to crown. No scratches whatsoever. The only marks on the shield are where it is gripped by the fairing, hidden when installed. I've used it on 2 trips and prefer a taller shield. PM me if interested or questions. Thanks for the BUMP "U/K" -- are you holding up okay over there with all this heat??? Maybe if this windshield came with A/C it'd be gone in a heartbeat (it'd give you a chance to ride to Beaumont again!!!)
