Default EZ Boy Lite Clutch Setup

This link will show you where it may be necessary to reshape a section on this unit so it does not hit the cover on some bikes.
They work well and reduce lever pull by about 40%. Usually cost around $20
Available for big twins and most sportys

If you cut down the short end of a 1/4" allen key to just long enough to seat in the head of the bolt about 1/4 " long ,you can usually sneak the trans cover off without removing or even loosening the exhaust at all. I've done it this way many times on various models. No need to remove the bolts from the cover to remove the cover, just unscrew them with your fingers once you crack them loose with the modified wrench and lift the cover up and off with the bolts still in the bolt holes over the exhaust.

This is how the typical installation goes...

*Drain the trans unless you do it on the side stand and you don't loose much fluid

*Loosen the 6 quarter inch bolts after you slack off the cable adjuster so the cover can be lifted over the exhaust, but leave the bolts in the cover holes.

*Remove the "C" clip holding the ramp assembly.

*Remove the ramp, disconnect the cable from it with a twisting motion and attach the new piece with the provided bolt.

*Trial fit it to see if it needs clearancing as shown in the link above.(don't drop the 3 balls behind the ramp on the floor)

*Reinstall the cable in the cover after putting the additional spacer on the end of the cable along with the origional "O" ring to seal it.

*Hook the cable to the new piece before reinstalling the "C" clip.

*Reinstall the cover.

*Check the fluid

*Adjust the clutch cable... LIKE THIS

*Enjoy it!
