Default HD Saddle Bags on the TriGlide?

Anyone install the saddlebags on the trike? Do they get in the way of the passenger? Is it worth the storage?

I'm planning to get them. They should not present a problem for the passenger and I'm sure I can find something to put in them. I like the magnetic latches. Not cheap but what is on HDs.

There are a few threads about them here already.

I have a set, love'm

The only thing they get in the way of is a bug trying to commit suicide on your inner fender.

We have a set and like them. Wife likes is as she can get to it while riding. Don't get in the way for anything. You do have to take the right one off to check the air in the shocks but easy on and off not a problem.

I have them also.....don't get in the way of a passenger. Nice to put items in saddlebags instead of opening the tour lid all the time. Handy for bottled water or new pack of cigs....you can reach down and open the bag at 70 mph!

Definitely a useful addition!

They are relatively small [as saddlebags go] and they are pricey . . . but one of the best purchases I've made for my Trike.

I too have a set. Installed them myself and we both love them. They don't get in my wifes way. If you install use sharp bits as not to damage fender. I also coat the edge of the whole with clear nail polish to prevent chipping. For me I raised the template about 1/2 an inch as I have the adjustable Kuryakn pegs for my wife. Clearance just makes it under the bottom of the bags when you swing them. I also had to drop her floor boards to the bottom position. Not a problem for her as she is 5'8". Had I not down the whole measure twice cut once deal I would have them mounted to low and been kicking myself in the head when we went to move the pegs forward. doh.....

We bought our TG used and they already had the mini bags installed. We were concerned that they would bother the wife's legs, she's 5'4" and thought they might hit her thighs...nope, she doesn't even know they're there..and come in quite handy for small items. She takes one and I get the other..
Small things like her hair items, sunglasses, drink holders, hats etc....
We really like them.
