I didn't buy a Tri-Glide for fuel mileage! Just ride the damn thing and fill up the tank whenever and get down the road and enjoy yourself.

"B", that's what I plan to do.
I am really having a lot of fun on this machine.
My biggest concern was on a trip north and west, I found some places where gas wasn't available within a 100 mile radius so it got me thinking.
But then again, I did see hoards of bikes on that trip so they were getting gas someplace. Maybe I just didn't pay close enough attention since I was in my car.
I do hope I can get with a group of folks who are taking some trips so I don't have to go alone. Either way, I plan to have some wondeful adventures on this bike.

We have been in every state west of the Mississippi and most to the east. Have never had trouble finding gas within the range of the Tri Glide (120-140 miles).

Ran out on my Limited between Sturgis and Lusk, Wyo. this year, but only because I failed to fill up when I had a chance because I "thought I could make it".

That's what I'm talking about!

2014 with 6600+ miles. We get 36-38 MPG pretty consistantly. SUNOCO 93 is my preferred fuel.

Back in the late 60's, we drag raced at Houston International Raceway on I-45 South.
There was a Sun station close to the racetrack and we would stop and get 5 gallons of Sunoco 260. That stuff would really wake a small block Chevy up!!
I wish Sunoco fuel was still available in this area.
I went to their website and they don't even show a station in Texas or Loiusiana !!
Oh well, I guess Shell 93 is my choice.
The bike seems to like that gasoline.
My last tank got 32 on Shell 93.

I have about 3K on my 15 Freewheeler. When it was warm weather and on 55 mph highways I was getting 38 to 40 mpg. Now in cold weather and on 70 mph Interstates I get 35 mpg.

I have all my touring bikes to 50 mpg. That is with the 103, 103 HO and 110 motors.

The trike is stock but by spring I will do the same mods as on the other bikes. I expect to get 40 to 45.

Since I tour every year I do go for as much mpg that I can. 5 mpg over a 30,000 mile riding year makes a fair amount of savings. Glad some of the posters can just throw money away.

What exactly is it that you do to get that kind of mileage?
