That is to bad as I want to buy ever thing I can from Fuel Moto.
As they have been very helpful to me, even on a PV that I did
not purchase from them. But when it come time for me to buy
another PV I will go to Fuel Moto, and stumble thru it the best I
can. As the Tri I have now has quite a few mods already installed.
BUT it still has the extended service plan. And I want to hold on
to as long as I can.........tenn.

I don't understand why this is a deal breaker. I had a 2012 trike with a map from FM. The starter map is simply that, a place to start from for when you autotune. This function is the reason we all bought the PV, let the tuner do the work. This method worked for me even when I went to the FM 107 kit.

Won't a basic ultra tune work ? Same motor the third wheel isn't a different parameter to have engine tuned to best?

Gathering my empty beer cans now to get PV 2. Still unsure about air cleaner ? Did I miss what you guys are doing with that .

Save your self the money, you already have a K&N to put in your factory air box. The difference between your factory air cleaner with the K&N and any stage 1 type air cleaner will be marginal. Most of the power will be in the higher RPM range at WOT or close to it, and it won't really be felt in the seat of the pants. Now if you was to bolt on a set of ported heads, bump the compression and include a cam to match the head work. You could use the extra flow a stage 1 type air cleaner would provide. You should be able to stick with the stock setup, even bolting in a mild cam.

The biggest gains a person gets on a stock engine is a decent exhaust and a good tune, heck even a good tune with stock exhaust will wake it up and make a noticeable improvement.

I will have to disagree, our trike maps have been proven in hundreds if not thousands of Tri Glide applications. While we do not have a trike dyno, we have developed many Tri Glide specific maps here with a combination of datalogging, street tuning, and real world testing. We have developed maps for quite a few stage 1 applications, various Wood cams, as well as our FM 107 kits. Also note many of the Dynojet maps have been developed by Fuel Moto, and we supply the maps for DK Customs as well.

As I stated before, My PV from DK Customs came with a bunch of maps ... I picked one close to my config and did the auto tune basic ... voila good running trike.
