Default Why not lift tank ?

Cost?
Looks ?

I like the see more motor part but unsure about looks? I'm also confused about the lift and then the delux lift?

On 2014 Tri-Glide who wishes they didn't lift or who is really considering it?

Do the trial lift. Its the easiest way to "see" if you'll like the result.

Cost is cheap, if you want cheaper you could make your own like some have done. On the 2014 and later I can't comment on the looks, it might expose more of the water cooling hoses which run across the top of the front rocker box, one might not care to see that. Maybe someone will post pictures of a Rushmore trike with a lifted tank.

Seeing the hoses is basically why I backed off the lift. At least till I see a Rushmore Lifted

Default here is deluxe lift on 09

Here is my 09 triglide I think it actually looks better, these pics taken during my 2+2 sweeper bar change. The forward facing picture gives some Idea how high the tank gets. No wind or bugs in the chest glasses stay put, I'm 5'8" tall that may make a difference also. ride safe fearless

I'd still like to see how a Rushmore looks with the hoses ... not sure I want to see those ... I still kinda think a Harley should be air cooled ... but it might be a plus come summer.

Click HERE for info on sizes, costs, etc.

One of the first things I did was lift the tank on my 2014 TG.

The Tank Lift, lifts the front (I did a 1.5") and the Deluxe Option lifts the rear .5".

The reason I did it was to get more air over the engine, stop trapping heat by having the tank sit on either side of the rocker covers, and reduce buffeting....with the tank lifted, more air is directed over the engine, instead of coming over the front of the tank and hitting my chest and then coming up to the helmet.

Also, makes it show more chrome, and easier to clean.

Drops engine temp 10 degrees or so, and reduces felt heat since that air is not getting trapped and just sitting there to get hotter and hotter.

Here is a pic of it in stock configuration-

Here it is lifted-

Here it is from a typical view-

You do see more hose ... but the cooling might be worth it ...

Default Thanks Kevin

I am still thinkin about it. Your typical view looks good.
Does the seat connect different or at more angle with delux or not delux version?

You could get carried away & put stainless braid over the hoses. Comes in different colors............
But that might get a bit involved.
