I went with Michelin Commander II on the front have 2 Michelin Defenders ordered for Wed to go on the back. Thought about a rear tire on the front and the owner of the shop said he would sell me one more money but is not allowed to install a rear on the front. He said his insurance co. says liable. He also said front ends even trikes have rake and trail for a reason your tire roles over when turned and still rides on the side to a point. A flatter wider tire will scuff and resist the turn more. I really don't know if true but I haven't found any flat rear looking front tires for sale around. I have found the Commander rides nice and sticks better than my OEM..Can't wait to try the new rears.

I put the new Avon Trike front tire on in mid-January when I had 13,500 miles. It rides well, does its job on wet road panic stops and is not showing any real wear now that I'm at 17,500, I'm pretty happy with a tire designed for trikes. I am not a back tire on the front backwards kind of guy.
can you give me the size tire you bought and have you noticed any discrepancy with your speedo? im thinking about ordering the Avon cobra trike tire for my 14 tri glide.

Larger front tire.
I am running the HD Anarchy wheels all around. The front wheel is 18", 5 spokes. I also ran those type of wheels on my '09 and got just over 95,000 miles out of them.

speedo issue
im not sure what year trike you are on, but here is my story. I am riding a 2014 tri glide ultra, with rushmore equip, did some upgrades including a vision tner. noted my speedo seemed to be off. it was still rading exactly the same as my gps unit, but still seemed off. I then realized the speed showing in my gps screen comes from the speedometer. checked it against my phones speed app and wow it was off. recalibrated my speedo with my vision tuner and im spot on again. just sayin!
