New Owner; New Problem?

I agree with all the above replies. When I bought my used 12 with 6000 miles on it the pedal did not have the response I thought it should. After talking to the dealer they took it in and spent quite a while bleeding the brakes. There was some air in the system. After that they are of course much better.

I will chime in here for what its worth. As stated here, one big difference is '14 and later with the linked brakes vs. '13 and earlier without. I bought a '14 off the dealer floor; granted it did not have but 100 miles on it, but this thing stops a LOT quicker than my '08 Heritage or '06 Deluxe. And it does it in a straight line without worrying about laying it down. BUT it does not have near the stopping power with just using the rear brake pedal as it does with both brakes applied. I also notice that the rear brakes are more sensitive to fading when wet; when riding in the rain; I try to use the rear brakes earlier to dry them out when coming to a red light to avoid any surprises.
My first move would be a trip back to the dealer to get it checked out.
