Screwball if you have a chance, side trip to Tortilla Flats. Kind cool restaurant there with dollar bills all over the walls and the food is good to. You'll pass the mining town that's on the tv series. The ride is cool through some of the superstition mountains. Ride and be safe have a good trip.

Day 1, the ride from Santa Clarita, Ca. to Bullhead City, Az. It was in the low 70s when we left. About 300 miles from home to the Bullhead house. We took old Rt. 66 across the desert, lot more fun than the freeway.
National Trails Highway is Rt. 66 in California. By calling it a national highway, they don't have to maintain it. More money for the state to spend on illegals.
Getting our kicks on Route 66
Unscheduled stop in the middle of nowhere to adjust the tunes on her iPod. This is what is called a Southern California Forest. Notice the Steel Palm Tree on the left. Needs little water and talks back when you talk to it.
We will be spending a few days here, got some business to take care of, then on to Phoenix and a 'toot' around Arizona.
How do you like the 63 year old Grandmother, biker babe, in her spiked helmet! You can get away with this when you are OLD

Wish I were home near my computer. Have pictures of wife and I in front of the Grand Canyon Harley store with 4 different bikes. My '92 Springer, '03 Dyna, '08 Ultra, and '09 Tri-glide. Love riding that area. Last year a group of us rode to Sedona, and made a 'lunch run' to the Grand Canyon. We have run the Hwy 89 / 89a from Ash Fork through the Prescott Valley, Jerome, Sedona, Oak Creek Canyon to Flagstaff. Lots of pictures of these rides and others.
