I love the LED's. I have 248 LED pods (each pod has 3 different color LEDs) this lets the lights cycle to create over a million color combinations. My lights will sync with the music and I have won many competitions with my lights when I turn them to dance and play the stereo. On the front wheel I have light rings that mount to the insides of each of the brake calipers and each ring has 14 pods (42 leds). So if you count every individual LED I have 738 LED's. When they are off you do not see any led's or wires. They have helped a couple times on the freeways to stop someone coming over on me. The trike puts out so much light that the guy seen the lights and moved back over. Plus it just looks good.
My wife and I like to stop and get ice cream at Dairy Queen on a warm night and let the lights just cycle slowly through all the colors and we love to watch the kids reaction.
So, Diamond LIL 2010 in my opinion not that it is biased but, no I do not think it is too much. Looks Great!

I remember when we put the LEDs on wife's '09. She loved them, and did the 'lookie-loos' when it was parked. We bought the first trike delivered to the dealer and they were kind of rare then.
To answer your question, there is no such thing as too much when you are having fun!
