I had to have my foot operated on a couple years ago. I scheduled it in October. After the majority of riding season and before slipping on ice season. It was pretty warm one day and took the trike out. Then I got thinking I best not. Someone from work might see me and turn me in. Had both Harleys stowed away for the winter. Good luck with your recovery. Bear

Hi all!
Well, after 5 days in the VA and 10 days in a rehab facility I'm home and doing well. I am walking very well without the use of my cane or the walker I came home with, but because the terrain around here is fairly uneven I'm playing it safe and using the walker whenever I stray very far from the front door. I'll be back on the trike in another 6 weeks for sure. Had my first brew in two weeks yesterday.

Wow, 5 days? They must of liked you. LOL. I was there 3 days and two days of being driven to rehab. Other than that I was on my own. But I tell ya getting the hips replaced was the best thing I have ever done. I would do it again if need be.

We ought to start a club for all us fogey's with hip replacements.

Maybe 'The Titanium Tourers'?

Now that is funny. Ironically Im now waiting on a referral to a specialist . Might take 6 weeks just to get seen. Things are slow here in MT. No word on yet if Im going to be able to have the hip fixed but happy to hear you are doing well. God speed and speedy healing.

UPDATE: Been home 2 weeks now and P/T has been going really well. Washed "Big Red" yesterday, then got on it very carefully to get a feel for any discomfort. I had to revise my procedure for getting on, but once I did there was no discomfort at all. Fired it up and rode around the block to the Post Office. Looks like I'll be riding the 150 miles to Albuquerque VA on May 5th for my follow-up appointment.
