Default No trike riding for eight weeks

Hi all, just had hip replacement last Thursday. I've been doing well with OT and PT and will get to go home Thursday or Friday. The tough part is having to stay off the trike for eight weeks. All that being said I have nothing but high praises for the VAMC here in Albuquerque. Anyway I been keeping up with all the updated threads every day. Everyone ride safe when you can.

Be well soon. Take heart . My dad had hip replacement last year and he was up and walking the very next day. Tough O.G. Do your physical therapy and if you are blessed as my dad was he is 100 percent. I think you will be too. Just think of riding without pain. That will make it a shorter 8 weeks. I know your pain I am waiting on delivery of my trike also .. 3 to 4 more weeks.

I'm on 6 to 8 Advil a day avoiding hip and knee replacements. Dr. said whenever I'm ready he will write the referral and his surgeon friends will cut me up. Next door neighbor had both replaced. First thing he did when healed was sell his Sportie and bought a Dyna. He rode the Sportie because it was narrower. Good luck, and happy recuperating.

Been through surgery and recovery before (rotator cuff). My best advice to you is comply with physical therapy and DO YOUR EXCERCISES AT HOME! You will be in the wind before you know it! Good Luck!

Wish you a speedy recovery... do the PT and plan your next ride because you can! Be back before you know it.
