I have CFR's on my 08 Anniversary Road Glide. They are a year old and the chrome is peeling off the end caps. I am going to remove the end caps and paint them gloss black. To do so I have to drill out a rivet on each side.
Can anyone tell me if I can remove the baffles from these pipes also????

Ask and ye shall receive. Here are the rear photos of the Tri-Glide and Freewheeler. Despite how the look in the pictures, none of the muffler tips protrude past the bumpers, it just looks like it. The rear is about the same place as the stock mufflers. I ordered them thru E-Bay from Cincinnati International Motorcycle parts. They were $175 a pair, last time I looked they were $178 with free shipping.
The biggest problem with installing them is tightening the rear hanger bolt. You need a very thin open ended wrench, or a crow foot and needle nosed vice grips. If I had it to do over I'd probably buy a set of security Torx wrenches and remove the rear valance first.

I put CFR's on my 2017 freewheeler and love them. Uses the same diameter on both sides 1 3/4 and just the flanged tip show out the back (about 2 inches). Do need any cal if this is all you do. Some dealers say it voids warranty and others have 2017's right on the floor with non harley slip-ons.. BS. Deep sound, not excessive, but it's all there when you crank the throttle! Ron PS.... CFR fixed they chrome problem they had a couple of years ago.
