I have CFR's on my 08 Anniversary Road Glide. They are a year old and the chrome is peeling off the end caps. I am going to remove the end caps and paint them gloss black. To do so I have to drill out a rivet on each side.

Can anyone tell me if I can remove the baffles from these pipes also????

They were $175 a pair, last time I looked they were $178 with free shipping.

The biggest problem with installing them is tightening the rear hanger bolt. You need a very thin open ended wrench, or a crow foot and needle nosed vice grips. If I had it to do over I'd probably buy a set of security Torx wrenches and remove the rear valance first.

Good Luck
I'm looking at putting CFR's or similar on my 2017 FW. I tried to view the photos you attached but they just come up black when I click on the thumbnails. Would really love to see these on a FW, can you repost or am I just doing something wrong? Thanks,

I put CFR's on my 2017 freewheeler and love them. Uses the same diameter on both sides 1 3/4 and just the flanged tip show out the back (about 2 inches). Do need any cal if this is all you do. Some dealers say it voids warranty and others have 2017's right on the floor with non harley slip-ons.. BS. Deep sound, not excessive, but it's all there when you crank the throttle! Ron PS.... CFR fixed they chrome problem they had a couple of years ago.

Check Bassani DNT (aka Deep & Throaty) mufflers. Pretty much the same sound as the CFRs. I had CFRs on my Ultra Classic and I am seriously considering the DNTs for my Triglide.

I've ridden over 1000 miles with CFR's on my 2017 FW and no problems so far.

Default CFR Exhaust

Had CFR's, but found the SVT JACKHAMMERS had that sound I wanted. The SVT Boneshakers are on my freinds Harley and they sound great as well. Just something to check out since ou are looking for mufflers.
