Default Detailed Trike, looks to good to ride now

Got my Trike detailed and it looks better then it did when I bought it. My hangup is that I don't want to take it out and get it dirty. I now have it covered in the garage. What is going on ? Anyone ever had this problem? I live in San Diego and the weather is great. Missing out on some nice days, 70 to 80's into the night till 8:00 pm. Need some encouragement to get my *** out on the road.

Did you buy it to clean and look at it or ride it for the fun of it? Personally I like riding more than I ever liked cleaning it.

Default Going riding

I figured that is what I would get back. Almost went to a gathering of bikers tonight for married couples. Beer and Pizza, happy hour all night. My wife's back went out and is on pain killers. She was not happy with me going to a married couples party without her, so I figured better to stay home and watch her groaning in pain. Tomorrow is another day.

I washed mine yesterday ... rode it today and it's covered in bugs ... It gets washed once a week ... ridden daily.

I know exactly how you feel!

I avoid that feeling by rarely washing it. Seriously!

Default Yea

My first year I was that way...had to keep it looking very good. But I figured out there is a lot more to keep clean on this trike machine and haven't cared as much now. To hard to keep up with the clean thing if you ride it at all.

I use that excuse too but its not a good one. Get out and go. There will come a day when we won't be able to throw our leg over the saddle. Still waiting for the weather to break here in the northeast.

Mine is usually 50 Ft. clean, but not always. If it is a case of clean or being ridden, it is riding every time. Mine is a vehicle that I bought to be enjoyed. If I enjoyed just sitting and looking at it, I would get a painting. Never have understood why people thing motorcycles are some kind of shrine to be worshiped at.
