Hey after market exhaust and muffler companies. News flash harley sells every freewheeler in a heartbeat. How long do we freewheeler owners have to wait for properly designed freewheeler mufflers? You know ones that don't stick out past the trunk guard!

That is because HD kept the Freewheeler under cover so they could sell the slip on SE for $429 Why let info out too soon for others to develop and make money they could keep?

It took the aftermarket about a year to start coming out with Triglide stuff once it was released, the Freewheeler may very well be the same. They also may be trying to decide if the market will be big enough to re-tool just to make a muffler for one specific Trike.

The Freewheeler is selling well, but, the numbers are minuscule compared to their 2 wheel cousins and Triglides which use the same mufflers.

J&P cycles has some crusher mufflers which are suppose to fit flush and cobra just came out with some slip ons which are supposed to fit correctly as well. Check out J&P cycles .

The CFR knock-offs I put on wife's Tri-Glide and my Freewheeler fit just fine and don't stick out. The stock Freewheeler muffler is 2 1/2 inches shorter than most touring mufflers. I took a rotary rasp and cleaned all the weld splatter inside the input pipe. The muffler slipped on over the header with no problem. I posted pictures of both trikes a while back. The hangers are the same for both trikes, and most touring Harleys.
