Non HD Headset for Intercom
My wife and I have been using the IMC-HS110 for abut 18 months with no problems. We like them because we use modular helmets and the microphone is able to be attached to the front bar and swung out of the way.
Recently, there were a couple loud pops, and suddenly the rear set microphone was not working. I tried switching the front and rear sets, and the problem stayed at the rear, indicating to me that the problem was related to the trike wiring, not the helmet.
I took it to my local dealer (Central Texas HD in Round Rock), who gave it back in a few days saying "it;s because your headsets are not HD, it works fine with our headsets".
Since it had been working fine for 18 months, this makes no sense to me, anyone have any suggestions? or have a similar experience?

Didn't your trike come with head sets? Ours came with them. Only reason I ask is try it with the HD head sets and see off the dealer is telling the truth. Otherwise if your dealer will let you borrow theirs, check it out for yourself. I have used our wired Free Ride, and our Blue tooth sharks no problems with either of them.

Ditto everyone above. There shouldn't be any problem with the 'after market' headsets. When we moved to the '14 and '15 trikes we had to change to Sena headsets since neither trike has a CB. If the dealer isn't too far away I think I'd take it back and ask "SHOW ME" I'm assuming you are under warranty.....
