I crossed over....
After putting a final 1400 (painful) miles on my Roadglide @ Sturgis (and 2 demo rides on the trikes), I went to my local dealer yesterday and picked up a new (to me) trike...a 2012 that was owned by someone (member of Rolling Thunder #2 out of NY) with a mutual friend (so I at least got some history on it). Put 157 miles on her today with very little pain (have fusions in neck & back, and arthritis has set in pretty bad in my knees...I get "the lecture" every month from Dr, but I'm not ready to give up riding. Hopefully this will shut him up for a while).
So here she is, now time to sell off all the parts I've accumulated from my last 2 bikes to raise some funds for more parts to make her mine...She's already outfitted with a ton of chrome doodads, fender covers, Python exhaust, and a set of cams (trying to find out grind through the mutual friend), air horn and flag mounts from the RG going on tomorrow....unless I go riding
I guess the one downside is with the fancy paint (metallic blue/black 2tone), I guess I'll actually have to start washing it more than once every year or two...I'm bad with that.

Love the graphic on windshield, but it's far too low for me

If my ride today is any indication, I think you be correct. Wish I had taken the plunge before Sturgis...we were averaging 300+ miles a day, and my nights were spent popping my pain meds and frequent trips to the hotels hot tub (which actually wasn't bad after midnight...apparently clothing was optional past that point. Thank goodness wife was there or I would've stared too much)
