There are many places that can rebuild a 12 volt motor or alternator, you just have to find them. I myself agree with the aftermarket mechanical.

poor 'ol George. A half a million reverse motors will be showing up on his doorstep......

Newbie to the forum today. Was nosing around and found this thread - "funny thing happened to me on my way to..." my 5K check a couple years back - my reverse motor failed. Actually, it blew apart - literally! Looked like someone had put it in an industrial vice, twisted the s**t out of it, then blew it apart with a mortar round. Picked up the housing and about 15 other pieces off the street, delivered it to my local dealer and suggested they send it back to MoCo engineers to ponder (??). At the price to replace, was lucky it was still under warranty!
