2015 Freewheeler Mufflers
Looking to change my Oriental-Looking mufflers on my 2015 Freewheeler to something louder and better looking. Any Suggestions ?? Cobra makes some for Freewheeler. There's a video on YouTube.
FYI: I just spray painted the inside end openings with BBQ Black Hi-Temp and they look much better.Note: the inside ends had already started to rust. Should of been chromed.

I think the makers has gotten out of control on the exhaust pipes, mainly mufflers.
$650 for a pair of mufflers, ouch.
I went with fulsac cvo muffler performance baffles using the stock mufflers. I actually kinda like the looks of the fw mufflers.

We put Rush Big Louies with 3" baffle on ours. Black with contrast cut tips. Most of the actual muffler is hidden under the trunk so the tips are really all that's visible. They're louder than stock and have a deeper throaty sound but I don't find them annoyingly loud. I have heard much louder ones so if you want ear-bleeding loud these won't do it for you but you can definitely hear us coming and know it's a Harley.

KC INT CFR Knock-offs 4" Megaphones. Sound great, fit both Tri-Glide and Freewheeler. $175 a set free shipping. Sound great easy to install. Haven't scraped the tips on either Tri-Glide or Freewheeler without lift kit.
Hint #1 Use a rotary file, or a rat tail file to remove any welding splatter from the inside of the pipe
Hint #2 IF you have a set of security TORX wrenches remove the valance over the mufflers. Not necessary, but it makes installation a lot easier
Hint#3 IF you don't have access to the security TORX bolts or wrenches, you will need a very skinny open end wrench to tighten the rear support bar bolt.
Hint #4 Flip over the rear support bar, and reverse the rubber grommets to accept the flipped bar, then use a wire tie to hold them in place so they don't slide out.
Note, the pictures are deceiving, the exhaust tips do not extend past the bumper, they are about where the stock mufflers extend.
Good Luck, and they sound 'BITCHEN' (a word used by us OLD hotrodders in the 60's)
