Default High oil pressure?

I searched and couldn't find anything on this, but anybody experience oil pressure running too high? The last couple of days my 13 TG oil gauge is showing idle at 30 and with throttle about 45-50. Dealer's not sure what it could be. My first thoughts were bad sending unit, bad gauge or oil line pinched or obstructed somehow, maybe in the cooler?

No have not experience, even when I had a pinched line to the oil cooler I never did see any high pressure and that shocked me. Same readings now after replacing lines to the oil cooler. When trike is off does it drop to nul, or still have pressure?

When I shut it off it drops to zero.

Talked to the "good guy" at the dealership, and he said it's probably the oil pressure relief valve. Have to get to the cam plate to replace...about a 5 hr job.
Will give an update after I get it in Monday/Tuesday.

Well if you were ever thinking about putting some different CAM's, now would be a good time. I just put in the TTS 100 CAMs and really like them the little I was able to able to try them out before putting away for the winter.

I found 2 web sites that sell aftermarket oil pumps and parts. According to them:

Normal cold idle oil pressure is 40 to 50 pounds
Warmed up at 2000 rpm normal is 30 to 40 pounds
Warm idle is around 10 pounds.

This may vary depending on Dino oil or Syn, temperature and viscosity of oil. Sounds like you may not have a problem

Default Final outcome

Culprit was a bad oil pressure relief valve. Replaced it, primary and secondary cam drives, due to not getting lubed properly. All back to normal now. Even seems a little quieter up front! $50 repair bill rather than $801.33, thanks to ESP.
