Black Magic Paint on Tri Glide

I've got another of the "7"...... Looks great in the sun. I believe the added artwork over the paint will look dated in a few years.. BTW - Good effing luck in finding the paint if you need some, none of the suppliers I checked with, including HOK listed it last I checked. Looks to be a 3 part.
Dealer staff dropped a pipe on the front fender when it was in for some service, had to wait 3 weeks for a replacement from HD, cost 'em "over a grand" , but helped me get a CB at cost, plus free installation. I about crapped when I saw the dent, first words out of my mouth were "no body shop repair with that paint, I want new". They obviously agreed and made it right, but it does make me wonder how tough it would be to lay that metallic down to match the factory's work.. My 2012 SG had Big Blue Pearl and I had the same concern about that....

Interesting that you say that about the paint, Harley did not want to replace the entire box on my bike because of the buff thru spot that was there. They insisted I take it to a body shop and they would supply the paint to the shop. I said no way, brand new bike I don't expect to take it to the body shop already, the dealer jumped in and pushed back on them also. After about a month they finally conceded and said they would send me a new one.
I ended up having them put the extra clear coating on the fenders and everything to protect it. I have to believe it would be a bear to fix.

I was really curious about all the responses concerning the Black Magic paint color for the 2015 TriGlides.
Dealer said there were only 7 painted that color in 2015, so I called Harley-Davidson this morning to confirm.
Seems there were a total of 1,459 painted Black Magic in the USA and Canada.
I guess the dealers are like used car salesmen, they will tell you anything to make a sell.

You're welcome Jackyl666. It just bugs me that the dealership thought they had to lie about it.
I would have bought the trike even if they had 100,000 painted that color.
My wife is the one who really fell in love with it though.
It was around 60 degrees here in Seattle today, so I rolled the bike out and gave it a good washing and waxing.
Man it sure is a nice color, and I'm glad I bought it. No regrets so far.
I know some people may not like the color, but that is why there are so many different ones.
Different strokes for different folks.

You're welcome nowork. I know you are going to really enjoy the trike, and so will your wife.
Take it easy until you feel comfortable if you have never ridden a trike before.
You guys have a beautiful country, and I hope to do some riding this summer in BC.
Take care and if you're ever in the Seattle area give me a shout.
