Default Another question on adding CB to 2014+

Hi guys,

I have a quick question... I've searched both here and other places; but I haven't found an answer to my particular question.....

If I want to add the CB module to my 2014 Triglide, I know I need the module, an antenna stud, and an antenna.

But does that mean there is already an antenna cable running from the front fairing back to the rear of the tour pak?

I'm sure I can do the installation myself. But I have no great longing to have to run a cable through the wire channel under the tank.

Is the 2014 TG prewired for the CB antenna?

Jim

I just had the dealer install mine yesterday & the cable was there. If I'd known it was so easy I would of done it myself.

Yes, the '14 TG already has the antenna cable in place from the MOCO!

Here is what you WILL need:

Communications Kit (CB Head Unit) - 76000 486
Antenna - 76386-09A
Antenna Mount (On TourPack) - 76000-166
PTT Switch Cover (Push to Talk) - 71500-130
If you don't have an HD headset, you will need one, but most who have a TG usually already have one. If not, add this. Lawabidingbiker.com has one that is (by their account) better, and at $60, definitely cheaper than the HD piece.

I could have done the install myself, but chose to have the dealer to it, because a) I would have to take it in anyway for them to flash the radio to accept the CB module, and b) by having them do it I avoided any/all warranty issues.

Money well spent!
