Default Left and Right Controls Not Operating after Cleaning

I cleaned my Trike after a road trip, after which I noticed neither left or right hand controls were working. No high/low light, no advance music, no run/off or start, no emergency flashers or turn signals.
I saw a prior post with the same symptoms, but a fix was never posted.
The fuel pump energizes and the head light, tail light and Infotainment system works. No dash lights.
I checked all the fuses and no problem discovered. I did a code check which revealed the left and right controls were disconnected and there was a battery communication issue. Nothing was touched or removed during cleaning, I did use soap and water, something I have done in the past without any issue. Just to clarify, no components were drowned and the Trike has been ridden in heavy rain before. Lastly, I always use a Battery Tender whenever I park the Trike in the garage and have not had any battery issues since a defective battery was replaced under warranty when the Trike was about six months old.
I have a call into the dealer to pick-up my Trike, but was wondering if anyone has experienced anything similar and what was the fix.
Thanks in advance,
JB

Try using low pressure air to blow out the switches. Sounds like they got wet some how. Guessing everything worked before it was washed?

Tried the air, didn't help. Yes everything worked before cleaning.

squirt your switches with some electrical cleaner , if that does not work..off to the HD shop. Good luck , let us know how it works out.

Dealer found the cause of the problem. Pinched wire in the right control. Don't know how it happened, had the dealer add heated grips, lighted controls and chrome covers. I added a ram phone mount for my cell phone, so I can't point the finger at anyone.
Thanks,

Good to hear. Electrics and bikes a match made in heaven LOL.. I guess when you figure in what the electrics on a bike actually go through, especially if you tour on it ; makes sense they go wrong some times. Glad you got the fix.
