Default Ride on the Tri-Glide to Beale Street Last Night

Last night we we arrived early and got a good seat for dinner and bike/trike/people watching

Not many folks here yet. That's our TG from our table-

Sun is setting and it is starting to fill up a bit. At the end of the buildings, in this pic, is the Mississippi River.

Click HERE to see a short video of an FLHXXX (Street Glide Trike) and a few other bikes looking for parking. Chance are they will have to ride another few hundred yards down the street before they find a spot.

It was a warm 85* and a nice ride down and back home, about 120 miles round trip, with a nice meal and a thousand plus bikes/trikes in-between.

I wish that had happened week after next. We are taking a trip to Nashville the week before Memorial Day with a few days stop in Memphis. Looks like it was an enjoyable day

We visited Memphis a couple of years ago. Had a great meal at B B King's. Also saw the ducks at the Peabody, and had a tour of Sun Records, and of course Graceland.

Wasn't a bike night thing so we had to park in a lot and not on the street.

Beale Street is "The Home of the Blues", located in downtown Memphis.

Mary and I have been going there regularly, for bikes, blues, eats, an people watching for over 25 years.

It will! Every Wednesday night (during the warm months) is "Bike Night" on Beale Street.

I doubt that we will be there week after next, we have company coming from out of town. But if they want to go, we will be parked in front of the Rum Boogie Cafe, and be at a sidewalk table there.

We've lived in the area over 25 years, passed by Sun records hundreds of times. We keep meaning to stop in there...never have. We gotta do that!

I think it depends on your tour guide. We had a young guy and you could tell he really enjoyed his job. He was informative and very funny.
