Why not IRS???

I have over 18,000 miles on my 15 Freewheeler. Originally I thought that an independent rear suspension would be the way to go.
When the Freewheeler came out I decided to give it a try. Now I have not found any road situation that I was not pleased with the solid axle performance. I'm 76 and have ridden it in Canada and many western secondary roads. I was comfortable every foot of the way. Did some 800 mile days.
No way would I spring (no pun intended) for the extra cost. I just don't believe that it would be worth it. I did check a company that had a display of their conversions and independent axles in Sturgis.

5,000 miles on a road smith ultra limited conversion (irs) ride beats the solid axel by miles. handling is a bit better as for side to side its less and i didn't opt for the heavy duty sway bar. AS FOR THE OP QUESTION only thing i got is warrentie may be a problem at some hd dealers, but it that be a problem even on a triglide. for what i paid would ben about even if u added the limited upgrades to a triglide. and my reverse hasn't burned up and is silent.
