I have had issues with the cooling temp light coming on. Am getting different answers from dealership as to can you ride bike without damage under this condition. If loose cooling fluid can you continue to ride as an air cooled engine. Anyone know for sure?

My 2015 Tri-Glide was loosing coolant. After days in shop I was advised that the water pump had a crack. Was told it was not fault of part but that something had hit it causing the crack and therefor it was not covered by warranty. I'm about 99% sure this is not the case. Has anyone run into this problem.

Call Harley Davidson directly and ask this question. What I've learned from dealers over the years, is they don't know their product like they should, this included warranty.

I had the same symptom with coolant temp light coming on periodically on my 2015 triglide when it hit 2000 miles. My service manager also said it was OK to ride it with light on. First they replaced the coolant temp. sensor with no results. Then took water pump apart to make sure it was working, but light would still come on periodically. Finally just replaced the thermostat and problem solved. Now have 9000 miles with no issues. Good luck

That's BS. Lots of coolant pump failures on the Rushmores. They can't keep the pumps in stock. Most are back ordered for weeks.
