Ahhhhh ........... Therein for me lies the issue. I do not have the factory seat on mine. My seat pan is not flexible.

If your seat pan is not flexible, then you can use just the Tank Lift, no Deluxe Option, and you'll be good. The tank lift does Not lift the back the tank where the seat meets it.
