What is different about the Comfort Lift from the Standard Lift is it also slightly changes the angle of the shocks rearward on the swingarm. The suspension now absorbs more of the smaller and larger road imperfections, resulting in less of the bumps being passed on to the rider and passenger.
An added benefit of a lift kit is by raising the rear end, this will decrease the Trail in the front end geometry a small amount and that will result in slightly quicker steering. It won't be lightened to the point of being twitchy but will offer a noticeable reduction in steering effort.

"The more you have a cantilever (angle) on your trikes shocks, the smoother the shocks will operate."

Smoother on your wallet also...the Comfort Lift Kit is about $55 less expensive than the Legends.

unfortunate
The Comfort Lift smooths out the edges of the bumps much better than you will experience with the Standard Lift. To some folks this is a great difference/improvement, to others it is just a little bit nicer.
